In this blog, Nick Renqvist, a 3DMark developer, YouGamers/Futuremark Site Manager and an enthusiastic gamer rambles about pretty much everything and the kitchen sink. And sometimes about 3DMark too. This is THE place to catch some never-seen-before shots from the past and the future.
The Vantage Generation
Posted 02-03-2008 at 03:08 PM by Nick[FM]
Since our announcement of 3DMak Vantage (http://www.3dmark.com) I have spotted quite a lot of discussion on the net about the name of it. To make it clear, 3DMark Vantage is our next generation benchmark for Windows Vista and DX10 (not called 3DMark08 as some may think or claim).
Another thing users should note is that PCMark Vantage (http://www.futuremark.com/products/pcmarkvantage) and 3DMark Vantage are two separate benchmarks. PCMark Vantage is a great tool for full system benchmarking in Windows Vista, and 3DMark Vantage will be the ultimate 3D gaming performance benchmark for Windows Vista and DX10.
Cheers,
Nick
