Default C++ error during install on w7 x64
Hi,

Just installed Vantage on my new build and I get this C++ Runtime Error during the install. I let it go trough the rest fine.

Once I try to run Vantage is just stay on the GUI loading screen and nothing happen (it does not crash)

I have tried installing C++ runtime x64 version, remove Vantage and re install but I get the same error message. Same thing if I try to run it.

I have tried running it with admin right, but nothing change (including during install)

AM using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bits on a Rampage II Extreme, with a GTX285 with the latest Nvidia drivers (not beta). Am using the lastest Vantage version too (included with the Asus MB package)

I am missing something? Really want to get some benchmark running :)

Cédric

How recent is your install package? If you are installing from a CD, have you tried installing from a downloaded package?

Have you tried downloading the installer again (we've updated the full install package several times after launch)?

Do you have the exact error message?

Hi and thanks for the prompt reply :)

Am not sure how recent the package is, but its as the latest 1.0.1 version on it. I did not try the download version yet, I will try that as soon as I get home.

i don't recall the exact message, but I believe its say something in the like of C++ 2005 runtime error x86 (I will note the exact error again) And it happen during the install process of the C++ 2005 runtime.

I'll report back later on with some news
