What I'd love to see is a new gametype! Throw me some Astro-CTF, people! On maps like Ark, Flipside (using points A-D or B-C randomly :D), and ISS, Capture the Flag would rock out. There are plenty of naturally defensible points, and some very deceptive rises and falls in the landscape. Lots of areas for tactical play.
It would also create a more dynamic battlefield - once the flag is on the ground, you'd need to hover on it for a couple of seconds (3-5?) to pick it up, and more like 10-15 to return it. That way, you have a mobile point of interest on the map. I've heard some people complain that the Deathmatch is a little focus-less and the assault/point gametypes are too static, always around the same points. CTF would liven that up a lot.

I'm with you! Classes are intuitive, but ultimately shallower than the game is now. There are other roads to intuitive gameplay, like explanatory tutorials or something, but classes would be detrimental, I think.

You'd definitely be able to get some more money out of me, too! You could try the Radiohead/2D Boy approach of "Pay what you want"? You'd get a -lot- of cheapskates, but if it was gonna be free anyway...

Nooo! I mean, more guns would be nice... but I can't help but think they'd make for horrible balance issues. How do you compete with the existing all-rounder rifle, anyway? Throw down coloured tracers, and you'd have a much more vibrant looking game. Mind you, I'd like that to be a votable option on servers, 'cause having the monocoloured tracers makes the game -very- interesting.
