I just posted this on the Steam forums, so here's a C&P of it:

Quote:
The game is still on, and you can count me in on playing the game! I'm sure that the game will continue to get a lot of love from FGS as this game is truly something unique and fun. I have been playing it for years and I still have a lot of fun kicking it. We all still believe that Shattered Horizon gave the FPS genre a sort of a new direction, and those who are in the Arconaut program know that there is still a lot to come.
The team will make it all happen, no doubt about it. I'd love to talk more about what's cooking, but I'd might get a good'n'nice spank if I would say anything. Just hang in there guys - it's all good! :)

Cheers,

Nick

Hey, that's what I was gonna say to you!

I can't believe it Worm, I just can't. When I heard I was in disbelief, I couldn't even remember how long you've been a part of the community....you were one of the original pioneers at true community relations that I knew, and it is an honor and a pleasure.

Best of luck in whatever you do, please stay in touch or I'll get all worried.

Among the many games I played this year, Shattered Horizon was the only one that I truly liked for its originality, innovation and polish. There is a lot of potential in that game, and I think that you could conquer the world and sell in the million(s) with a more ambitious sequel.

Good luck to every single people that was laid off. It's (I guess) sad for you, and it's sad for the FPS genre as a whole, as I assume that a sequel is out of the question.

Wow, this is truly sad :(. I'm so sorry to see you all go, and so soon! Both you and Nick did marvelous jobs, and it's a crying shame to see this happen at Christmas time. Merry Christmas to all of you, for what it counts.

We want to let everyone know that our plans for supporting Shattered Horizon and its community are unaffected by recent changes at Futuremark. It is fairly common in the games industry after finishing a major project for a studio to reduce staffing a bit from the large team required to launch a game.

A core team within Futuremark Games Studio continues to develop the free Moonrise expansion pack. All four of the new levels are already being tested (which many of you in this thread are helping with). It is no secret what other people in the team are working on while some are looking at stuff we are not ready to talk about yet.

We'll be revealing more of our plans and releasing more details about the Moonrise pack in the New Year. Till then, it is business as usual although it will be quieter round these forums over the holiday break as most of the team are enjoying some well earned holiday.

thank you for your post. i hope its the truth and not just another "all-will-be-good" response to allay our nerves.
i got a guest key for a month and still dont get shattered horizon out of my mind.
i played all major games like MW2, KZ2, etc but none of these are staying in my mind as shattered horizon did.
i wanted to buy it with the 25% Steam Holiday Sale but wasnt sure if the new maps will really be released because of the shrinking developer team.

so its christmas and i think i can trust you. i think ill buy it.
