Default Hackers in TF2
So it only became apparent to me today but I've always been suspicious. Over a month ago I joined a server and noticed that a sniper was getting constant one shot kills and they where always headshots. I had my suspicions but decided to pass him off as a really good player as I managed to kill him with a few headshots of my own, but now I think I only managed to do that because he was aiming at someone else at the exact time I was aiming at him. OR I managed to kill him while he was reloading (after killing someone else).

But today I noticed something rather bizarre, I was playing on a surf map when I noticed a soldier on the opposite team flying through the air at least 5 times the speed of a scout firing with what seemed like unlimitted ammo. I immediately called "noclip hack" when he responded "noclip isn't a hack".

I quit the game, not really because of him but because a bunch of 8 year old kids joined and started acting like common d*cks and did a google search where I came across this.
*PM me for URL*

Was wondering if anyone else has encounted hackers in TF2 also? It kinda ruins the game and was the main reason I stopped playing Halo online, and CS:S and played solo games or Trackmania online.

That's just disgusting. And to think that douchebag is making money off of little shitties that are willing to pay $25 a month just so they can cheat in an online game is both sad and funny.
Not to be a ****, but I don't think it's a good idea to actually post links to crap like that, even though I can't imagine anyone on these boards would use this

Online cheaters should have their computers burned.

Its no reason to quit playing a game though, just find a good server with a decent community and active admins.

Remember just because someone seems to be cheating to you, doesn't mean they are, it might be a game, but there will always be someone better than you, and in some cases much better.

Yes precisely why I said that I passed the sniper off as a really good player. I know there are some very talented players, but a soldier flying through the air? Unless he's EXTREMELY good at firing rockets at the ground (and it was a surf map so the ground was about 300m below) to keep him airborn whilst firing rockets at everyone else without dying it's definitely a hack or a huge bug.

I ain't exactly a bad player myself, I am generally the one who is always in the top 3 at the end of the map and I've been good enough to get 19 headshots in a single round without dying, about 20+ kills including the kills I got without headshots and I usually average 6-9 headshot per round so I'm not a bad sniper by any means, but compared to the pro's that's probably nothing.

I don't plan on quitting the game though, it was a surf map and it's always full of d*cks but I do play on normal servers with good players and quite enjoy it a lot. I'll never forget the time playing as pyro and got a huge 150k damage points in a single round, it was just insane, that blue team was so rediculous.

Thumb Up Re: Hackers in TF2
2 weeks ago on the server i was playing, i encountered a Sniper which was invisible to me. I could only see the Domination icon "over his head".

<WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE - Langaleer>
so yes, i hate cheaters, i left CS and CS:S just because of these cheaters.

Try to get a few headshots in these games and for sure someone is going to scream " cheater!!" although you're playin without cheats.

but that's the worst community i ever encountered, yes the CS:S one.

and i thought the WOW was the worst one, because of the emo kids around....

I don't know if its the same in TF2 as It was in the original Half Life Team Fortress, But there is a way for you to fly through the air, But you need to have good health to start with, So either the Soldier, The Heavy Weapons Guy or the Medic can do the flying.

What you used to do is get a sniper to crouch behind you and then he shoots you up the ass (lol...I know ), The power of his shot then sends you flying across the map, at the expense of losing quite a bit of health (of course if friendly fire is OFF, then a sniper can shoot anyone across the map with no damage at all (until you crash land of course).

This little trick or even exploit, if you want to think of it that way, was a good way to get easy flag caps, as you could have a guy in the opposing teams base and on his way to the flag before the opposing team knew what was going on.

It's not the same in TF2. Most servers have FF off, and shooting someone doesn't move them at all. I do remember this from TFC though and it was great to do on 2fort. You could send everyone flying over to the other teams balcony quite easily.

The bad thing about TF2 is that aside from player hacking, which is present in all online games, there are hacked servers, mods and other garbage that screws with the default way the game plays.

But it doesn't matter what game - if you hack, you're just a coward. Plain n' simple.

I haven't encountered a modded server yet in CoD4
