Default Voice comms needed
Greetings,

I am enjoying this sim a great deal. The one thing that I see that is missing is integrated voice comms.

I hope you at FM see fit to add this into your fine game.

i agree. having the stealth and emp mechanics affect how we talk in game (and not through vent) would add a lot of immersion.

Agreed. It would turn Pub games into a much more strategic/intense affair.

But...

If voice comms are added, make sure that you also add the ability to mute specific people. There has been too many times in other games where I have had to change teams/servers because someone joins my team/server (with the sole intent to annoy people) and either starts yelling or playing bad music into their mic.

Kind of surprised they didn't add it. Pretty much all multiplayer games have voice chat.

After playing today, I'd say this is the only major thing SH is lacking. I feel crippled without voice comms.

I'm sure you all can guess this is one of the first things that was brought up in the beta a while back. If memory serves me correctly, often times it does not, but I believe FMGS is looking into this.

My clannies and I will co-ordinate via teamspeak.

Your ISP, if they're half decent and have a gaming arm, should offer free vent or TS servers... look into it?

We're looking into it all right. No promises or schedules yet, but as you said this is one of the most heavily requested additions.

This is something that caught us a bit off guard, since we use teamspeak mostly. Also, if the in-game voip has gameplay-related effects like silencing under EMP (a cool idea in itself), it becomes cheatable immediately, and seriously competetive matches will use teamspeak (or equivalent) anyway.

But the point about public match immersion is a strong one, and since this has been requested a lot, we are taking a second look.

Please keep the suggestions coming. We won't be able to act on all of them, but they are invaluable to us when deciding where to put our efforts next.

this is somthing this game needs and will add to the level of fun in this game.

having your mike cut off by EMP, stealth mode, and straying to far off the map is a good idea.
