Default How to add custom resolutions on ATI without 3rd party programs?
Installed the latest Cat 6.7's and noticed that for some reason they've removed the 1280x900 resolution which I used with WoW.

Is there any way to add this resolution without 3rd party programs?

I'd like to know for nvidia as well, stupid current drivers wont let me add custom resolutions, I wish they would get that freaking fixed, it's like every other drivers supports it...it's never stable.

Just add a line to one of the DALNonStandardModesBCD lines within the following path.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Video\{28EB637D-0B05-40E2-9B10-67836FF468A5}\0000]

(The big number at the end before the 4 zero's is random but you should be able to find yours, if you have installed multiple versions of catalysts you will have loads of different ones so make sure you modify the correct one by looking in your catalyst control panel at the "2d driver file path" entry within "information center").

For example I have just edited the DALNonStandardModesBCD1 entry to look like the following example which added 1280x900 at 60hz.

07,20,04,80,00,00,00,60,
07,20,04,80,00,00,00,75,
07,20,04,80,00,00,00,85,
07,20,05,76,00,00,00,00,
08,48,04,80,00,00,00,60,
08,48,04,80,00,00,00,75,
08,48,04,80,00,00,00,85,
12,80,07,20,00,00,00,60,
12,80,09,00,00,00,00,60

Can I just put more rows there, or do i need to replace existing ones?

added there
12 80 90 00 00 00 60
12 80 90 00 00 00 70
12 80 90 00 00 00 75
rows (as those are the refreshrates supported by my tft), to DALNonStandardModesBCD1 rebooted, no luck, still not available.

Those rows are too short and the 9 is in the wrong place.

Below is the one I changed to make sure it worked on mine.
