Anandtech (lower settings - no FSAA or lower res):
BF2142: X1950Pro > 8600GTS > X1950GT
Oblivion: Easy win for 8600GTS
Prey: X1950Pro beating 8600GTS by a about 1-2%, X1950GT is slower
Vegas: X1950Pro beating 8600GTS by less than 1%, X1950GT is slower by a fair margin
In the higher resolution / FSAA modes the 8600 loses a lot, but that was to be expected from a 128bit card.
Seeing how the OC versions according to tweaktown are about 10% faster, it should be obvious that the OC version beats the X1950Pro, the X1950GT really isn't a match, and from the Oblivion result I think that it's obvious that the shader power of the card is quite good. As a small bonus you get DX10 support.
It isn't all that bad at all, depends on what the street price will be really.
Edit: Hmm, hardware.no have their own test up, and the resutls there are horrible compared to the anandtech results!
