Default crossfire world of warcraft video card settings
Im just bought a new computer and im haveing issues with my graphics cards when playing world of warcraft

currently running ati radeon x1550 512mb ddr2 sapphire cards driver-installed-vs 8.1
in crossfire mode with everything set on proformance
and the game settings set on medium
its fine no mater what i put the settings to, on high quality it looks amazing

and moving around isnt bad either 40FPS with eveything set to high quality and wow settings all on max

except when im trying to move ill be running and every 30 seconds
its like the frames hang -does this on low quality aswell
also when i disable crossfire i have the exact same issues.

now ive emailed amd/ati and they sent me a automated response
with the full specs of my cards but dont know much about graphics cards

please...

WoW doesn't support multi card setups. You will find the game runs better when you set it to single card. I found that you need to make sure you have a profile setup for the game that forces it to be single card mode only. I haven't messed with crossfire so I don't know where you will set that profile in the drivers.

It seems like you've got enough ram. Have you tried lowering the settings in game and seeing if the framerate still hitches?

BTW, you do NOT have a 9.6GHz cpu. Just fyi.

a core 2 quad cpu running @ 2.4ghz, is not a 9.6ghz cpu.
2gb pc-6400 ddr2 ram is pretty much average these days, ideal for games....
When did you buy those x1550's? If recently you seriously need to consider a return, a single x1550 is a very poor gaming card...as far as running two of them, well Im really not sure about that.

With a system like that, you really could use some more headroom in the video card department. You can get a radeon 3850 for under 200$.

Which resolution are you running at?

The x1550 is a fairly poor card for running at resolutions over 1024X768, especially if you have eye-candy enabled.
