Mixing historical education and gory battles in a real-time strategy title should be a recipe for success, as amply demonstrated by the likes of Medieval II: Total War and Company of Heroes. The History Channel: Great Battles of Rome aims to follow in such great footsteps but unlike the aforementioned giants, it's also being released for the PS2 and PSP platforms. Will this ensure a victory worthy of Marcus Aurelius himself or cause it to be ancient history straight away?
