NewsWorld of Warcraft Character Race Change AvailableBored of playing as a (female) Blood Elf that seemed such a great idea at the time? Blizzard already added Faction Change as a way you could defect to the Alliance and that way your character race would also be changed. Still, some of us would prefer to stay Horde. Solution has arrived - for a "cheap" fee of $25/€20/£15 you can now change your race in World of Warcraft through the account services page. The Race Change service lets you change a character's race to another race within their faction. The full range of customization options offered by the Character Re-Customization service is included as well. Each race change costs $25.00 USD. Things to know before you start:
The obvious catch is that you can only change to a race that is available to your class. This means, sorry, Blood Elf paladins are still stuck for now. To become a Holy Cow (Tauren Paladin - obviously) or something equally hilarious you'll have to wait for Cataclysm which is going to bring a wider list of class/race combinations and then go for a race change. It is expected that when World of Warcraft: Cataclysm arrives, Goblins and Worgens will not be available through this service for some time to give people an incentive to level up a fresh character or two.
